Transformers Animated Lead Character Designer Derrick Wyatt has hinted at the possibility of Generation 1 concepts appearing in the television series, as well as some insight into The Arrival comic book. "There are absolutely TONS [emphasis Mr. Wyatt's -ed] of G1 concepts that are practically begging to be in Animated," writes Mr. Wyatt on his blog A Delightful Tedium. "Maybe some of them will get to [appear]." Read more.

Thanks to "yizhi521" of TF08, we have learned that the Transformers Energon-era Combaticons will be re-released as part of the Transformers Universe 25th Anniversary celebration. "Yizhi521" has graciously provided us an image of the set's instruction sheet, which reveals that the figures have been renamed. Thinking of decking out your child(ren) or yourself (if you are small enough to fit into a children's costume, that is) in Transformers Animated costumes this Halloween? Toys R Us is currently offering 25% off the $19.99 price tag for the Animated Bumblebee costume from now until the 18th. The offer also applies to the Animated Optimus Prime costume, but that item is currently out of stock online. But if you went to an actual brick and mortar version, you may have some luck.

SG Collect is reporting that the Nissan Fairlady Z (350Z in the United States) will serve as the alternate mode for the Transformers Alternity Megatron figure. The site also reports that the figure will be released in silver and blue versions, much like the Alternity GT-R Convoy is being released in silver and red. Another rumor points to a price point and release date of the much-talked-about Masterpiece Grimlock. Read More

Could Soundwave's alternate mode be in the form of a satellite in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?" The information was provided to Seibertron by "an anonymous, but reliable, sources." Screenwriter Roberto Orci told us back in July that Soundwave would be in the film. Of course, we are requesting that you take this news with a grain of salt until we can confirm the information.

Thanks to "Cool Hand Lube," we have learned that Kapow Toys is reporting that TakaraTomy has announced two new Encore re-issue figures today. Encores #13 will be Trailbreaker while #14 has been announced as Hoist. Release dates and images are not available at this moment, but we will definitely bring them to you when we get them.

Activision has launched their new Transformers Animated website to promote and preview their new Nintendo DS game based on Cartoon Network’s Transformers Animated television series. Activision's Animated game challenges players to solve teamwork based puzzles and race along the highways of Detroit, dealing with oncoming traffic, and to beat the Decepticons. Visit Site

On-line retailer e-Hobby has decided to do a little Transformers Encore themselves by re-issuing two previous exclusives. To commemorate their 8th Anniversary and very first e-Hobby exclusive, which was originally released in March 2001 during Botcon Japan, they will be re-issuing Megatron Black Version retailing at 6,300 Yen. The other will be Sunstorm retailing at 4,200 Yen, which was originally released in July 2003 because of it's popularity. Read More

CostCo is already loading up with the Xmas holiday toys where we found an unannounced Transformers Animated Roll Out Command Optimus Prime in exclusive packaging. Unlike the traditional angular box from Animated, CostCo's replaced it with a cool oval barrel shaped deal kind of like the Ultimate Bumblebee package. An on-set image of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona may have finally provided a name we can attach to the Chevrolet Beat for the movie. Automotive website Jalopnik has posted several photos of the Chevrolet vehicles Beat, Trax, and Camaro, but there is a specific one that particularly piques our interest, which reveals the license plate on the Beat that reads, "Skids"! The Trax next to the vehicle also has a plate, but it is illegible in these photographs.

Could we see a "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" television spot during the next Academy Awards? The previous ban of movie television spots airing during the Academy Awards has been lifted by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences board of governors and Variety suggests it's a good as time as any to premiere one. Thanks to DragonX76, just in are new images of the Transformers Robot Heroes action figures sets that are coming soon from Hasbro. The new images show the figures in the more recent packaging with the 25th Anniversary stamped in the top right corner. The new sets include Snarl Vs.
