Transformers Dark of the Moon is doing well States-side as well as overseas, grossing $37.3 million on Wednesday, its first full day of viewing in the United States, and grossing $32.5 overseas.
The $37.3 million domestic gross, including the $5.5 million from Tuesday night's 3D and IMAX 3D showings, put the total so far at $42.5 million, the highest gross of 2011 so far.
Fifty-five percent of Wednesday's audience for the film was under the age of 25 and received an A in CinemaScore polling, which surveys users as they leave the theater. Revenge got a B+.
Overseas, the film netted $36.6 million in its opening day, which includes the Tuesday night sneak previews, outpacing Transformers Revenge of the Fallen by a whopping 38%.
This total brings the movie's total gross to $79.4 million in a little over a day.
