Start saving your money for the biggest Transformer ever made. The Robots in Disguise Fortress Maximus! We have been informed by a source at Hasbro that they are presently in discussions with retailers for a release this year.
Standing at over 2.5 feet tall, Fortress Maximus is the largest Transfromer figure ever made. Originally issued as part of the Generation 1 Headmasters series, Fort Max was born from the merger of Cerbros and Spike to battle the evil Scorponok.
More recently, Fort Max reappeared in the Japanese cartoon, Car Robots, that was later released in english under the title Robots in Disguise. Brave Maximus, as he was named in the Car Robots show, was released in Japan as part of the supporting toy line. Naturally, many people are hoping the RiD Fortress Maximus figure would be offered in the USA as well. This is the first we've heard from a reliable source on it and are guessing that it will be offered around the holidays. No retail price has been stated at this time.
