Will anything be left to actually debut at Toy Fair at this rate? By way of querying the Walmart inventory database, some initial images are now available for four more upcoming Studio Series toys. We in fact have been aware of the existence of each of these for some time, between online retailer listings and some leaked documents, but tonight we have our first visuals to go along with them.
First we have a vehicle mode image of KSI Boss, which is indeed a reuse of the Nitro Zeus mold, though from this one image we're not able to discern if there's been any retooling. KSI Boss is listed as number 43.
Number 44 is the Leader class Optimus Prime, representing the jetwing upgrade mode from Dark of The Moon. It seems to be using another copy of number 32 Voyager Optimus Prime (with signs of modified deco) at its core, with a large new accessory system to make up the difference and bring up to Leader level.
At 45, we have Drift, but not the same Drift that we know is going to Entertainment Earth soon. This one is specifically Age of Extinction Drift, and sports the character's helicopter alt mode. The toy shares at least some of its engineering with Dropkick, with a few common parts identifiable in the legs. But from this angle little else jumps out as being held in common between them.
And then we jump to number 47, the Constructicon Hightower who is an entirely new mold. And we'll be surprised if they ever get a reuse out of this one, as what obviously started as a crane has become a dinosaurian robot. Fans of atypical body plans should be interested with this one. As for everyone else... well, let's just remember it's probably necessary for eventually building Devastator. Hightower is notable too for not really appearing in the movie, and instead coming to us by way of concept art produced for Revenge of The Fallen. Honestly, it might become interesting to see more such unrealized ideas come to life of sorts in Studio Series.
Good chance we'll be seeing more of all four of these toys at Toy fair on Saturday. Keep your eyes right here at TFormers for coverage as it happens.
