If aliens landed on Earth today, they would be puzzled by our fixation with gummy candy. Optimus Prime is no exception. Truth be told, Transformers found it's way into licensing at all levels of childhood with all kinds of sweet treats being made for Generation 1, most notable being the Transformers Ice Cream.
Today's Prime shot is focused squarely on the post-G1 series confections from 2007 with gummy versions of the Cybertron / Galaxy Force, and 2007 Movie Protoform Optimus Prime. Sold as part of the Transformers 2007 licensing blitz by Cap Candy, these chewy treats represent the sticky side of Transformers collecting. Where, as you may see, time is not our friend when it comes to food-related collectibles. Something I will revisit in future Prime posts to be sure.
I kinda doubt these were ever edible, in the strictest sense of the word.
I still have one of each, but I had one of these melt on me.
It's just red and blue sludge pooled in the bottom of the blister.
