While fans run hot and cold on the Transformers Armada / Micron Densetsu cartoon. One thing most fans agree on is the toys were really good. From the little Mini-cons to the then rather strange Leader class figures, they are still on many collectors' shelves.
One of my favorite Prime molds was what we came to call "Bendy" Optimus Prime for his excellent articulation. Micron Densetsu, Takara's name of the Japan series, produced a few more versions of this mold than we saw in America. One of the most prized being the TV Magazine Scourge with Sweep Mini-con that was limited to 5,000 as a mail-away exclusive. While Hasbro made their own "Nemesis Prime with Run-Over", the Takara one was coveted for being a homage to the Car Robots Scourge character trading Hasbro's brown (gold) and red colors (left) for the silver and teal colors (right).
