Initially, there were multiple trophies given to Takara staff members and guests during Takara’s Anniversary Gala event held on June 11th, 1987. A year later in 1988, there was another batch of Convoy Trophies offered as TV Magazine coloring contest Lucky Draw prizes.
Those of you who have been lusting after one of the rarest Transformers collectibles of all time will be counting their pennies to come up with the $30,000 for the Takara Gala Transformers Gold Trophy G1 Optimus Prime Lucky Draw figure that is listed now on Ebay.com.
