As a collector, I have become keenly aware that the definition of "character accuracy" is totally subjective and can vary widely from artist to artist. We can see a lot of difference in the lean Marvel comics designs featured in America, the organic look of Studio Ox portrayed in Japanese manga, and the most recent War For Cybertron designs by Polygon.
Today we take a look at some of these dark designs with the Transform Element TE-01B Black Op Leader figure (left). The third-party figure could be mistaken for the Takara MasterPiece MP-10B Black Convoy (right) at first glance, but they are quite different in their design aesthetic. The TE-01B draws from the Marvel look, the MP-10B more from bulkier Studio Ox feel, and the Transformers SIEGE Spoiler Pack Nemesis Prime (center) has Polygon's battle-worn Cybertronian design.
