Transformers 7 - Movie Story Takes Place in the Year 1992?

TransformersFr.com, French / Canadian Transformers fan web site, has dropped some possible details on the Transformers 7 movie from a recent casting call post. The news from the call reveals the movie starts shooting in July and the 7th Movie story itself may take place in the year 1992. Read on to see the details from TransformersFr:

- SCOOP from TransformersFr.com (Quebec & France) - So here is the Figuration sheet that was issued for the same shooting start date, July 4, 2021 in Montreal.

And given that the 7th Transformers Film is the only film shot in Montreal at MEL Studios on this date, it suggests that the nicknamed "E77" film, the film's assumed name during filming, would then be the 7th Transformers Film. .

It says that this movie is set in 1992. So the 7th Transformers Movie would be set in 1992 then.

Since this Figuration sheet info does not confirm to be for the 7th Transformers Movie, (this is the only movie shot there and we know that Transformers was shot there, we assume that the extra is for this TF movie) ……

So to be taken with a grain of salt as a Rumor for now.

I like the designs of Transformers prime. I think it was an excellent merger between the Michael Bay designs and Transformers animated. I'm not a huge fan of overly technical designs. It's almost like they're naked with car parts on top of their body. I don't like that because it makes me feel like in a fight, they're completely fragile and exposed.

I was too young to be super into the G1 designs but I do like how similar this OP looks. The G1 designs aren't my favorite but I still think they're cool. It also gives me Transformers Prime vibes and since that's the cartoon I grew up with (I think Transformers Animated slipped past me) and my favorite, that's an instant plus for me!

I don't agree with this. This looks like the G1 toy combined with the first Michael Bay Prime. I would have to get used to this like I did at the Bay movies version.

Hey I mean Bay brought us the first three movies and did what he had to do but...I look forward to seeing what this new guy will bring to the table. Guess I need to actually watch Bumblebee first though?

I'm glad, I'll leave room in my imagination for this one being a really killer film. First Bay movie wasn't too "true" to the original content/ characters, obviously, but struck a great chord with me and my friends and family for being very funny and having some great action scenes. Haven't seen Bumblebee but it seems to have won back over the audience that saw the first one, so I hope they continue doing well with these. The live action films add something to Transformers that the other media doesn't, even if the "true" fans don't like it (no disrespect to the "true" fans, of course).
