The all-new animated series (26 episodes) introduces a new generation of Transformers robots - the first Transformers robots to be born on Earth - and together with the human family who welcomes them in and cares for them, they'll redefine what it means to be a family.
Transformers: EarthSpark is set to debut exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. in November, and on Paramount+ and select Nickelodeon channels internationally. The new series joins the globally recognized Transformers powerhouse franchise. Read on to see details from the SDCC 2022 Transformers EarthSpark Panel.

• This show is a little different from other shows you’ve seen before. It’s from a kid’s point of view. • They wanted to take a step back from the never ending conflict between Autobots and Decepticons. • Having a human perspective has always been important to the Transformers franchise.
• Finding something truly enormous and otherworldly... and bonding with them... was really important to us". At it's heart, Transformers: #EarthSpark is going to be a story about family and found family
• The new bots needed a mentor who could show them what being a Transformer is all about.
• Twitch is excited to have these powers and is ready to prove herself at a moments notice. She is highly competitive… and she is just highly excited to have these powers and grow into them, but she’s connected to her human sibling.
• The best villains never see themselves as the villain.
• They knew the Transformers brand and know what the Nickelodeon ingredients were: humor, heart, and family. Those are elements our characters will bring and the stories they’ll tell.
• Introducing two new characters, Twitch and Thrash. They’re robots that are born on earth. Twitch is the straight A student, Thrash is the class clown, and Bumblee is the bridge
• They wanted to infuse this show with something that was fresh, but also a little bit familiar.
• How do the new robots feel about their G1 predecessors? Autobots and Decepticons are soldiers and have been at war for so long that they’ve lost their full sense of identity. When the Terrans come in…it’s not their war.
• Did seeing the design influence how you approached the character? The designs wouldn’t have changed how they approached it because he has a lot of the same elements brought to the audition. The same confident smile, big brother protector.
• Twitch transforms into a drone
• Thrash transforms into a café racer with a sidecar.
• Within all of us there’s a Volkswagen but there’s also the possibility to be a powerful vehicle.
• As someone who grew up with this franchise and as a Black actor - it was refreshing seeing the twins as the main characters being Black, and their father is Filipino. This is such a diverse show.
• When they started developing this show, it was a great opportunity to have humans front and center. As a storyteller, that opens it up to center around adventure. Not comedy, not action. But an adventure.
