Studio Series / Daily PrimeThe first Optimus Prime release of 2023 is a much welcomed reissue of the Transformers Studio Series Dark Of The Moon SS-44 Optimus Prime as a Buzzworthy Bumblebee capsule release. The original 2019 release sold out fast, with crazy scalper prices to follow that I wouldn't pay.
The SS-44 is popular for a good reason, the Trailer, Weapon Ring, Weapons, and Jetpack make a killer combo as the Armored Weapons Platform. The only downside is the rather plain weapons, that have been replaced here with 3P upgrades. The pack relives the scenes from the Battle of Chicago, and Chernobyl (above), where the Autobot Leader calls on his arsenal to battle against the mighty Shockwave and his Drillers.
