Transformers Legacy Evolution Dinobots Core Class Volcanicus Official In-Hand Images

And yet there's more, always more! Evan Brooks @naveskoorb the man behind the Transformers Legacy Dinobots Core Class Volcanicus combiner swings in with a very cool look at how these mini dinos come together. He's given up some notes on the team as well images showing the as yet incomplete combination as well as some comparison shots to show how big Core Class Volcanicus will be. Read on for a lot of little Dinobot goodness.

Hello again, Transformer Fans!

Last of the Legacy follow up posts from me ( I'll get to some Studio series ones next, I promise!).

This time showing off more of the Core Class dinobots and the leader of the pack, Grimlock!

Getting the original trio together, here is the big (80's) t-rex bot shrunk down to core class. The head heights of all the dinobots should be all relatively the same height ( Slug were a triceratops for a helmet so he does end up being a bit taller by a technicality) and they look great together.

And of course, Combining to form Volcanicus! Grimlock forms the left leg (all the great combiner team leaders form legs) and has a hinge that allows for Knee movement when in combined mode. The knee hinge is off center so that he won't interfere with the other leg since he is quite a wide bot. He's a very sturdy foot that you've already seen supporting the other two bots! He might make for a great junkion limb as well.

I've made sure to include a comparison image of the combined mode next to a DLX and VOY figure so you all can get a sense of the final height.

Please look forward to the remaining 3 members of this team to be revealed as we continue on into 2023!

Thanks for your support,
-Evan

I prefer large figures.

I absolutely love the Core class.   I'm not sure what people expect for 11 dollars, but I think they are amazing and fun.

I 100% agree. I am always taken a bit by surprise by the amount of hate that spews from some of the fans. It's like they have no ability to pick and choose if they actually want to spend the money on something or not.

I have really been loving the little dinobots despite their flaws.

And yes! I have my Grimstone  on display and can't wait to have 2 dinobot combiners.

I was reading some of the comments after the Rise of the Beast toy reveals and was taken aback. I could not believe the amount of hate I was seeing. It's not like it was the Studio Series stuff either though, it's literally the stuff for the kids specifically and not also for the collectors. They're not even that bad though. I'm getting all those Weaponizers and the Weaponizers that come with the larger figures, I'll be getting them too. I'll also be getting the Spark Armor style figures. It's nice that they learned from the Cyberverse releases and use the robot's arms as the armored forms arms instead of trying to make unarticulated arms from the armor piece but it's just a shame that the base figures are now worse overall than either size Spark Armor base figure from Cyberverse. But the price reflects this. More complicated armors with less complicated base figures for $20 which was right in between the prices for the two sizes from Cyberverse. The smaller, core class looking figure look pretty good too even if they lack some articulation. That Rhinox in particular looks real good.

Back to the Weaponizers though, is it just me or do they remind anyone else of better designed Arms Microns from Takara's Prime line?

So Volcanicus and Dinoking will be around the sizes of TLK Infernocus and Power Core Combiners Grimstone. I actually like that very much. Being about the same size as Grimstone is really cool. Now I have to dig my Grimstone back out but luckily I still have time before we finish Volcanicus.

I really do hope that Hasbro does release Dinoking and not listen to some of the hate these figures are getting. It's not too bad but it's there.
