Daily Prime - Rise Of The Beasts Concepts for Possible GI Joe Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime?

What if the Oshkosh Defense Medium Tactical Vehicle (ODMTV) design isn't a mistake, revised idea, or other unused reason? What IF it appeared as Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts toys, but not in the film, on purpose? WHAT IF it was a seed planned as the first hint the Transformers G.I. Joe crossover was being setup to appear with Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime?

I didn't think about this much until I saw these new Parallax Studios concept designs based on the models of the ODMTV alternate mode. Looking closely, the ROTB Optimus Prime looks to be very similar, but with the new stuff added on top suggesting this may be not the previous, but the next design, and or Prime and the Joe's were meant to appear in Rise?

Whatever the case, the design choice for this alternate mode could not have been a total coincidence. The similarities to the formerly unused IDW design by Don Figueroa are nearly spot on for the original toy vehicle (see above with toy box art). It does its best for the robot mode, considering it has to be based on the real thing, and shares design elements from Freightliner FLT truck cab. Looking at the ODMTV truck, it makes me wonder if the idea for the big cow catcher bumper was taken from that, and or is some kind of foreshadowing.

This design is obviously popular with fans because it has been produced at least twice by Third Party projects. The 2018 TFC Toys STC-01A Supreme Tactical Commander, and the 2011 Xovergen STC-GP Rolling Thunder Grand Patriot toys. Both of which were also made in green jungle colors editions.

FYI. I have no insider knowledge about this, the presumed G.I. Joe appearances in the next Transformers movie, or any other crossover. So take this as nothing more than observations that may or may not explain what the ODMTV alternate movie design is about.
