Paramount & Warner Bros In Talks For Possible Merger

Could Optimus Prime be joining Bugs Bunny? News just in that Variety has confirmed the Movie production studios Paramount Global and Warner Bros. Discovery have been talking about a potential merger of the companies.

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav met with Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish in a lunch meeting Tuesday in New York where they discussed a possible merger, sources said. Zaslav also has talked with Shari Redstone, whose National Amusements Inc. owns a controlling stake in Paramount Global, about a potential combination of the companies.

According to the report, the CEOs of both companies have discussed what they could do together with their vast media libraries of Movies, TV, and Streaming assets. According to the article, Paramount's Movies could be acquired by Warner Bros. with Transformers named as one of the franchises, among many. While both companies are loaded with billions in debt, the combined market capitalization would be close to $40 Billion. Read the full report for more details at variety.com
