Transformers had their place at the breakfast table, such as the famous 1985 Cookie Crisp Transformers Jazz give away promotion. Which, appears to have had a follow up that was not to be.
Cancelled due to concerns over sales by 1986, Ralston planned to make a fully branded cereal with "more taste than meets the eye". The buyer sample for the product was all G1 featuring Optimus Prime box art on the front of the chocolate flavored cereal. It also included the marketing hooks that promised to "Transform ordinary milk into chocolate flavored milk!" and included cut-out limbs for kids to transform the box into a robot.
