Just in from Flame Toys' Unix Square is our first official look at the Combot G1 Optimus Prime. The prototype figure shown is part of a new series of figures that you put togeher. What is special about these Kits is the parts can be reconfigured into a vehicle.
This one for Optimus Prime looks a lot like the IDW design from the comics like we have seen in the Flame Toys models. Read on to see the official product notes on the figure that will be shown at ACGHK 2024.
"Unix Square" is proud to announce that we will showcase the brand-new [COMBOT] Transformers series - Optimus Prime!
This officially licensed product from Hasbro has undergone a complete overhaul in terms of mechanical aesthetics and articulation functionality. Through special design, Optimus Prime will be able to display either a robot mode or a truck cab mode. We bring fans "impossible made possible" concept with an entirely new collecting experience.
At the ACGHK exhibition booth, we will display the prototype. Don't miss the opportunity to take a look!
Please stay tuned for our latest news and join us in anticipating this exciting release!
I am very excited about this, I really hope it has "at least somewhat" reasonable pricing. If it does, this will be an immediate buy for me.
This reminds me of Construct-bots which, in my opinion, was a very cool concept! Construct-bots, though, was very gimmicky in its designs; this looks to be more of a collectors version of that original concept.
