T-SPARK Transformers Missing Link C-05 Sunstreake

Release Date: June 28, 2025

Retail Price: ¥13,200 JPY / $88.47 USD

Lost dreams link across time!

The "Missing Link" series is a virtual reprint of what may have existed in that era.

The fifth installment features Sunstreaker with a narcissistic personality.

What if the original Sunstreaker was fully poseable? This product is a completely new design that keeps the size, texture, and nostalgia of the original Sunstreaker!

The size, transformation pattern, and basic structure using some die-cast alloy follow the original Sunstreaker toy, while the ideal Sunstreaker toy has been released with updated joint movement for posing and gimmicks drawn in the anime. Athorough homage to the original style, from the packaging to the styrofoam tray, brings back the excitement of opening a Transformers product in the 1980s more than the reprint version. Sunstreaker was born as the first car robot product and appeared as an early member in the anime, but was not sold separately in Japan.

This product is the first to be reproduced in the image of the single-item sales box, and since there is no reprint version, this is the long-awaited revival of the original type for the first time in 39 years since 1986.

The joints, which were limited in posing in the original product, have been changed to movable ones, allowing you to pose freely. A new "human/worker type" has been added, which was not included at the time.

Both forms can be mounted in a mobile cockpit.

A flare gun of the same type as Lambo is included in a plated finish to recreate the anime scene.
In addition, the punch launch gimmick has been eliminated, and instead the fist has been updated to a fully transformable specification that stores inside the arm.

In addition, a large attachable punch is included to recreate the original specifications.
The familiar "secret emblem" is also attached to the robot body, and the army mark appears when you warm it with your fingers.

The parts that were stickers in the toy at the time are reproduced with relief molding and painting, and foil stickers that can be attached as desired are also included, so you can change the color of the shoulders to metallic yellow. A joint hole for a stand (sold separately) has been added to the back, so you can display it in an action pose.

The package illustration is a new drawing based on the image of the time, and a collection card featuring the same illustration is also included.

Lost dreams link together across time!

The "Missing Link" series is a virtual reprint of what may have existed in that era.

The sixth installment features Cordon in the form of a police car.

What if Cordon had been commercialized as a fully poseable model at the time? This product has been commercialized with a completely new design, while retaining the size, texture, and nostalgia of the time!

The size, transformation pattern, and basic structure, which uses some die-cast alloy, follow the original toy, while the ideal Cordon toy has been released with updated joint movement and gimmicks for posing.

The product pays thorough homage to the original style, even down to the packaging and styrofoam tray, and more than the reprint version, it brings back the excitement of opening a Transformer product in the 1980s.

The third car robot product, Cordon, was born as a police car type and was not introduced as a Transformer, but has become increasingly recognized as a character in recent years.

This product is the first to be commercialized based on the Cordon toy from that time. Each joint, which was limited in posing in the original product, has been changed to a movable one, allowing you to pose it freely.

A new "human/police officer type" has been added, which was not included at the time.
Both forms can be mounted in the mobile cockpit.

A plated speed trap gun, the same type as Lambo, is included.

The punch firing gimmick has been eliminated, and instead the fist has been updated to a fully transformable specification that stores inside the arm.

A large attachable punch is also included, allowing you to reproduce the original specifications.
The familiar "secret emblem" is also attached to the robot body, and the legion mark appears when you warm it with your fingers.

The parts that were stickers on the toy at the time are reproduced with relief molding and painting, and stickers that you can paste as you like are also included.

A joint hole for the separately sold stand has been added to the back, so you can display it in an action pose.

The package illustration is a new drawing based on the image of the time, and a collection card featuring the same illustration is also included.

I saw that they are asking for $80 on these.  I was really excited with the idea of a missing link Sunstreaker and it was my Holy Grail for this series, but that price is a bit steep.  I don't think the added articulation is worth the price of entry versus a used G1 Sunstreaker.
