Did you see the announcement of the new Transformers series that was published in the "Spring Issue of TV Magazine" released at the end of February 2025? The details have finally been released. This year marks the 41st anniversary of the birth of Transformers and the 40th anniversary of the arrival of Transformers in Japan, and a completely original Japanese Transformer will be released!

Its name is "Transformers Wild King". This is the first Japanese Transformer in about 10 years since "Cute Transformers: The Mystery of the Return of Convoy", and it is mainly targeted at preschoolers, and is developed with toys and short animations released on YouTube. As the title suggests, many Transformers that transform into animals and dinosaurs appear. A new battle of Transformers will be depicted! A new Japanese original Transformers will be available this spring!

Story

The story is set on the planet Elementros, a planet of unknown power. The protagonist, Optimus Prime, follows his friend Megatron and lands on this planet. There, Optimus meets Lightlong, a giraffe-type Transformer who is an energy beast. According to Lightlong, the energy beasts that live on Elementros in the form of animals and dinosaurs have five elements of "elemental energy" hidden within them: fire, water, earth, nature, and lightning.

Meanwhile, Megatron suddenly attacks. With the power of their bond, Optimus and Lightlong awaken the ability to transform and combine [Wildooking]. Optimus joins forces with the animals, and Megatron commands the dinosaurs. What will their fate be?! Introducing some interesting gimmicks!

This series has two lines of products: Optimus and Megatron who transform into vehicles, and Energy Beasts who transform into animals and dinosaurs. The Energy Beasts can not only transform from beast mode to robots, but can also transform and combine with Optimus and his friends' arms and legs (Wild Docking).

The Energy Beasts have one of the following attributes: Flame Energy (fire), Glass Energy (nature), Grand Energy (earth), Lightning Energy (thunder), or Aqua Energy (water), and by Wild Docking, Optimus and his friends can borrow the power of their attributes. A new Japanese Transformers series begins!

The web anime "Transformers Wild King" will start on the official Takara Tomy YouTube channel in late March. Toys will be available from late April 2025.
