As expected, we would not wait long to learn more about the Takara TOMY Transformers MPG-17 Optimus Prime and what this "Style Gen" thing is all about. New images leaked on the Asia SNS reveal what's coming soon is a new MPG sub-line that produces easy to transform Generations style figures with lots of accessories.

It seems that all the guesses were partly right, as they are making this a kind of generic Convoy / Optimus Prime. The images include iconic accessories that cover many bases including the WFC Axe, Movie Swords, G1 Energon Axe, and G1 Ion Blaster that can mount on the shoulder. All made to the 5mm port standard.

What is stated to be made for fans young, and old, will hopefully have a less than MasterPiece / MPG price. Look for the first MPG Style Gen releases to be coming in January 2026. Five key points of Style Gen.

3. The structure is easy to play with and the structure is conscious of the degree of freedom of the joints, allowing for more dynamic poses.
