Just ahead of the official April 4th official MPG-17 Optimus Prime Style Gen preorders, the official stock images for the Takara TOMY Transformers figure have been posted on the Asia SNS. While we have seen most of these GCI image renders already, there are a handful of new views of the models. First up, is a shot that shows all the alt mode and accessories clearly.
Next, the back of the robot figure is visible, nicely kibble free, with 5mm ports for storing weapons with the help of an included mounting accessory. We also have a look at the back of the alternate cab mode, that has more 5mm mounting ports, and what looks like a slot for the rifle mount, but the rifle is not using it. We will have to wait and see weather this is a trailer hitch for a subsequent release, or something else.
Finally, we learn from the images that this is release is "Unified scale with Masterpiece/MPG series", which means this should be the same height as other MPG figures at about 23 cm / 9.2 inches tall. Check out all the images from Takara TOMY below, thanks to @animetal. Stay tuned to Tformers for all the news and updates on the MPG-17 Optimus Prime Style Gen as it happens. This looks awesome, but to be completely honest, I really just hope a third-party source re-scales this into CHUG size (or at least close to CHUG).
