Following the Grimlock and Ultra Magnus rumors, the list of possible new Missing Link figures grows with rumors of Ironhide, Ratchet, and a Decepticon, that could be joining the series.
Missing Link continues to focus on the early Generation 1 releases, mostly carried over from the original Takara Diaclone Car Robot line. It will be interesting to see how they update the Nissan Vanette Cherry and Medic style vehicles. Don't be surprised if we see a black DK-2 Guard variant release at some point in the future as well.
No idea what the Decepticon could be, but it is about time they added some to Missing Link. We also learn some things about past releases, such as Sunstreaker didn't have an original sketch design, and is said to be based on old photos of the Diaclone toy. Additionally, the Arcee Prototype is mentioned to have been made of foam. Read on to see the translated post that includes details from the Transformers Encyclopedia 2025 book found in the Missing Link Scud (Sunstreaker) and Arcee Interview with Takara Tomy designer Kobayashi Hironori, thanks to @antimetal.
1. Old Diaclone. Kobayashi Hironori mentioned that the pilot that comes with ML Scud is from the old Diaclone 1980, because when Dia was transitioned to TF, the pilot gameplay was cancelled, and many children at that time would treat Diaclone as "Spike" and interact with Scud, so Kobayashi wants to bring back the old Diaclone this time
2. Ambulance Ironhide and a certain Decepticon are already in the plan
3. The details of the white and yellow Scud stickers are different, so the sticker relief is distinguished by mold
4. ML Scud has no design sketches, but is designed based on "photos of old toys taken"
5. Arcee is based on a foam prototype,
6. The included stickers, the product catalog of the first generation toy style, Kobayashi said it was "a performance to evoke the touch of past memories"
