Many millions of years ago, on the planet Cybertron, life existed. But not life as we know it today. Intelligent robots that could think and feel inhabited the cities. Eons of war with the Decepticons, their bitter enemies, have drained the planet's once plentiful resources. As the Energon supply runs low on the planet Cybertron, the Autobots leave to find a new energy source. The Decepticons try to gather every bit of energy that they can, from Earth, in order to get back to Cybertron. The Autobots, along with their new human allies, try to stop them.

Hot Rod is now available in the Style Gen. series, a new interpretation of the "MPG" series. Style Gen. is a new line that has been refined in terms of transformation difficulty, proportions and detail, articulation and posing, vehicle play, and weapon play, resulting in an even more refined style than the previous Masterpiece/MPG series.

Transformation is at the heart of Transformers, and this figure is designed to allow for intuitive transformations from vehicle to robot that can be enjoyed over and over again.

Stylish proportions have been pursued that will be accepted by Transformers fans of all ages and regions, and it also features an abundance of valuable details, while maintaining the Hot Rod design, such as the large rear wing and distinctive fire pattern, it achieves a "complete transformation" with no excess parts.

The easy-to-play structure and design that allows for flexibility in the joints allow for more dynamic posing. Accessory parts include two photon lasers and a saw blade, as well as the welding torch used in the movie. 5mm joints, a familiar feature of Transformers products, are located in each part, so you can create your own Hot Rod.
