Hasbro is excited to announce the next stop on “The Apology Tour” with THE TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE: THE SOUNDTRACK: THE REFORMATTED EDITION, a reimagined soundtrack for THE TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE (1986), created in collaboration with record label Reigning Phoenix Music.
Releasing July 24, 2026 on major streaming platforms and various physical formats including limited edition vinyl, THE TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE: THE SOUNDTRACK: THE REFORMATTED EDITION brings 10 re-recorded, reimagined tracks from the iconic film, where new production techniques meet the raw spirit of 1986 to create something that feels both reverent and revolutionary. This includes the return of Stan Bush—the original voice that defined an era—now making his return 40 years later to bring fans brand-new recordings of “The Touch” and “Dare”! Every track has been rebuilt from the ground up: bigger, heavier, sharper, and more alive than ever. Guest singers are top level artists who not only pay tribute to the originals but also bring an unmeasurable amount of talent to these classic tracks.

Album performances are led by ‘The Knights of Unicron’, a band of world-class musicians featuring Gus Rios, Matt Harvey and Ross Sewage, with additional guest appearances by rock/metal icon, former singer of Skid Row and solo artist, Sebastian Bach for a special rendition of "Nothin's Gonna Stand in Our Way", power metal artist Brittney Slayes (Unleash The Archers) for an electric version of “The Transformers (Theme)”, and other new exciting re-recordings from Mark Osegueda (Kerry King, Death Angel), Francesco Cavalieri (Wind Rose, V.B.O.), and Cold Slither’s own, Torch. Tying it all together is composer Vince Dicola as the perfect complement to this winning formula for the most honest and true collaboration for die-hard TRANSFORMERS fans!

The Transformers: The Movie Soundtrack: The Reformatted Edition. The 40th Anniversary tribute to the now iconic movie soundtrack.
This new version features Stan Bush, along with Vince DiCola, both legendary names in the Transformers lore. Joining them are Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), Mark Osegueda (Death Angel/Kerry King), Francesco Cavalieri (Wind Rose), Brittney Slays (Unleash The Archers), and Cold Slither’s own Torch, who are more than just guest performers, they are lifelong fans who understand what these songs mean.
Every track has been rebuilt from the ground up by The Knights of Unicron (Gus Rios, Matt Harvey, and Ross Sewage) . Bigger, heavier, sharper, but never losing sight of what made it matter in the first place. It’s a passing of the torch from one generation of fans to another, who just happen to be world-class musicians.
This isn’t about rewriting history. It’s about turning the volume up on it. Celebrating the moment, the music, and the fans who’ve carried both ever since.
