Now we know why the original 1986 The Transformers The Movie was only on DVD, because there is a brand new The Transformers: The Movie 40th Anniversary Edition 4K UHD Steelbook coming soon from Shout Factory in November 2026 for a price of $49.99 USD. News just out from @TheHDRoom lets us know with the following update.
Shout's November slate leaked a while ago via Barnes & Noble and will be officially unveiled Friday morning. In the meantime, here's a look at the new Transformers: The Movie 4K UHD Steelbook where I just now noticed the Autobot reflections in the windshield.
Unfortunately, no details on the contents yet other than it being a 2 Disc set, but we do see the updated artwork of Dead Optimus Prime from The Apology Tour campaign.
