On the set of Transformers (2007), a life-size statue of Megatron has been unveiled, revealing several behind-the-scenes photos. The lower body and forearm of Megatron, frozen in Sector 7, were crafted in 2006 by Jamie Miller’s sculpting team.

Standing 25 feet tall from foot to waist, it comprised over 200 foam-carved components. At the time, high-tech CNC machining was not yet available, so all parts were painstakingly hand-sculpted by artists based on three-view model renderings.

These pieces were then assembled and painted, with ice formations covering the entire figure. Meanwhile, the upper body was created using CGI, ultimately delivering the lifelike effects seen in the film.
