The drops from Transformers Day 2026 keep on rolling out with a big share The Transformers: The Movie 40th Anniversary action figure box art by artist Marcelo Matere @MarceloMatereart have been posted to his SNS account. Check out Marcelo's update and the images below, for more than meets the eye.
Happy Transformers Day!
Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at some of my pencil artwork for the Transformers Studio Series ’86 line.
Working on this movie line has been one of the highlights of my career. The Transformers: The Movie had a huge impact on me as a kid and was one of the things that inspired me to become an artist.
These are the original pencil drawings before the final colors and packaging. Colors were done by VOLTA.
I have 40+ images to share, so there’s a lot more coming. Stay tuned!
And The Transformers: The Movie is back in theaters in 4K. Go watch it on the big screen and celebrate Peter Cullen’s incredible legacy and his iconic performance as Optimus Prime in “Optimus Prime: Awakening.”

Recently hasblow permitted TFTM 40 anniversary screenings just in Japan. But, the majority of Asia remains boycotted and banned. Currently Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, and India all remain excluded. What gives? Anyone know?
Many TF fans ourselves included want to see this but we are excluded. Does anyone know what it'd take to get some screenings in the rest of Asia? Thank you.
$50 for steel book...no thanks. I'm good with my copy from 2000.
