USA Today Confirms Weaving's Megatron Role

This is just a little follow-up to the news over the weekend about Hugo Weaving (The Matrix, The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring) landing the voice acting role of Megatron in the upcoming summer' anticipated blockbuster "Transformers" movie: the nationally circulated newspaper USA Today has made a little blurb in an article in today's newspaper stating that Mr. Weaving has landed the job.

The remainder of the article talks about the screenwriting duo of Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman and their appeal to the "Transformers." The "concept of alien robots who are able to change into ordinary-looking Earth vehicles was an intriguing premise," writes USA Today.

Mr. Orci has also given a justification to Megatron not transforming into a gun for his alternate mode: "That would be the equivalent of Darth Vader turning into his own lightsaber and someone else swinging him around."
