Thanks a lot to Tonkeye for photos from C3XHobby 2008 of TakaraTomy's Transformers Alternity Nissan GT-R Convoy (Ultimate Silver)! Check out the gallery to take a look. Oh well, I guess there is nothing new from the Encore series.
That's slick. I am all for Hasbro bringing Alterity's bad ass down to North America.
So is this 1.25 or deluxe scale?1/32 scale, just a little taller deluxe size. Comparison with Movie Bumblebee here.
I wish somebody could get a shot of this from the back. The concept art showed a big lump of parts sticking straight out from his lower back, I want to see how that looks on the final product before a make a final decision. At around $40 he needs to be perfect for me to want him. Would it have killed them to sneak some red and blue onto his non-car parts? Maybe the red one will have blue hands and head.

He actually has a molded grille on his abdomen in robot mode, but for some reason they didn't paint it so it's hard to see.
Looks like an awesome mold, though. Hopefully Hasbro will bring a cheaper, plastic version over. I'm thinking of replacing the head with the one from my 1:32 Roadbot Celica and making him into Jazz.
They have pics over at TFW2005 as well. Even know there not better pics, they some how have me more sold then these ones. Its wierd too cuz the photographer seems to be better in these pics. :schin
Anyways that aside, i am TOTALLY sold on him for Red! I hope this line IS a line and does well. I have a feeling from how Hasbro answered that we will be getting a new Alterators line. And since Takara is making these, this we be "possibly" it. We will see, we will see.
sorry Alternators 'like' line. :P
Need to see that Red paintjob. I'm not digging the other trim colors. This should be Jazz.
Anybody know if there will be others in this "Alternity" line? Or is this another sports label?
Cheers,
J.
I apologize for opening this up again, but I think this kinda of design could have been what the movie looked like. Not blocky G1, but not totally Alien either. ;p
Anyways, I want to see how the red version looks like, and if this thing have high amount of diecast in it, I'm sold.

Now, if only they'd go all out like this on toys from the next movie when it comes out...
SOLD!
First new must have mold for me since the movie line came out last year.
Although the head is a good likeness of Prime, with no red or blue anywhere to be seen it could be very easy to forget this is Prime and just think of him as somebody else. Although only G1 Grimlock comes to mind right now, it seems like there have been a few TFormers over the years with heads that were similar to Prime.
you know I wonder if classics Silver Streak's head will fit... when I do get one I will have to see if it can fit with out damaging aether
I like it, but much like Sports Label, the price might be it's downfall.
Still very cool, I just wish they made it some one else as the Prime head just doesn't look right. Maybe Jazz, or one of the other cars would have been better.
