MP Starscream made sense for a limited US release, since it was marketed as a "Classics" figure who directly homaged / updated one of the most popular G1 characters. "Optimus Prime as a car" isn't really the same thing IMO.

But who knows, if they have plans to turn "Alternity" into a product line in Japan, it's possible. But there are Japanese TF product lines that have never seen the light of day over here (e.g. Robotmasters).

Im with you on everything you're saying but I'm in a hopeful mood at the moment. Some real good stuff has happened in the passed 5 yrs.

i.e. MP Megs that's a gun, Bt/Alts, a new toon that's taking G1 characters and giving them personalities, Classics/Universe, Ppl got War Within toys they begged for, The movie, comics, Optimus underoos.....
