Retail Price: $49.99
Available: August 2003

Being one of the most anticipated Transformers toys to ever be released, Unicron gives the Armada toyline a gigantic boost. After 17 years, The mighty planet eater has arrived accompanies by his 3-mode Mini-Con now confirmed as being named Dead End - NOT Nebulon as previously reported in Toyfare Magazine #68.

Unicron can hold up to 24 mini-cons on his outer ring when he is in planet mode. The figure also has several Mini-con powerlink ports in his robot mode that activate hidden compartments, weapons and other features that brings the total Unicron can carry at once to 27 Mini-cons.

Want more payability and interaction with Armada's Mini-cons? Attaching the Star Saber (or Dark Saber) on his back opens up and activates his hidden chest cannon. Unicron has more cool features still with light up eyes and light up hands that are activated when he captures a Mini-con in his fist.

Unicron is one of the taller Transformers toys made to date. Standing at 16 inches tall. The figure is fully articulated. Surely quite a task for Hasbro and Takara, and as it seems, they pulled it off rather successfully.

Accompanying his introduction in toy form, Unicron will also be making an BIG impact on the show, where new episodes may be seen on saturdays at 8:30 Eastern Standard Time on Cartoon Network (check local listings for show times here). The remaining 13 episodes in the series will be named Transformers: Armada: Unicron Battles. The wave of toys coming out during this time will have new packaging reflecting the name change to the show.
