Transformers 4 - Alien Robots Battle to Blow UP Beijing Michael Bay Style, Shooting Begins in October

We reported that a new deal had been made to include several landmark buidlings in Beijing, China as part of the movie. However, it was not clear to us then that Michael Bay was being asked to blow them up as well. Now things are starting to get interesting, as it was reveled the producers requested there be a battle where the Pangu Plaza Hotel is destroyed in the film. Also reported, the filming of the China and Hong Kong scenes are planned to begin October 2013.

Beijing Pangu will finance production of the film. In return, the company's flagship building, the Pangu Plaza Hotel, will be shown in the film. The hotel is located near the National Stadium and Beijing National Aquatic Center, both of which "Transformers" producers would like to include in the film. Scenes shot at the hotel will show alien robots fighting. The Pangu itself will be shown blowing up in the film.

Production on "Transformers 4," directed by Michael Bay, has already begun in the United States. Representatives from Paramount Pictures said that they plan to shoot the Chinese scenes in October. Producers said they have submitted applications to shoot other Beijing landmarks, but that those applications have not yet been approved by the government.

The film will also include scenes shot in Hong Kong.
