CS VII Rodimus Prime Assembled Wrong!

User blaine71274 shares his experience with us.

I got my Commemorative Series VII Rodimus Prime today finally. At first glance everything seems O.K. Until you transform him. When pulling the body away from the legs, it seemed too loose. Then when completely transformed, his posture seemed out of alignment. The transformation didn't seem to fit.

THEN, when I compared him to my G1 Rodimus Prime I noticed the problem. The torso and chest have been put on backwards. The main part of the torso which I will call the chassis, is completely backward. And on top of that being backward, the chest is too. But, the chest would have to be in order to fit. But this creates a problem. Remember the torso being loose, that's because the pressure pegs that keep it tight on on the other side. Plus, the alignment is off when it is backward which creates a tilt backwards when standing. The best way to see this mistake is to have a G1 handy.

I fixed mine and now he's perfect. Here's what I did.

1. Remove screws from waist plate and legs.
2. Remove waist plate and front of legs.
2. Remove chest and torso section.
3. Unscrew main chest component from torso chassis.
4. Flip around and replace.
5. Replace upper body, legs, waist plate and screws, making sure to align correctly.

Hope this helps, sorry no pictures. Trust me, it will make sense when you see it. I am not a Hasbro basher, but this doesn't help Hasbro for those who are. I am sure an honest mistake, but an important one.
