This month's issue of Previews carries a somewhat surprising inclusion, as shown in an image of one of the catalog pages posted by blue death
. The Hasbro release of MP-17+ Prowl, which we had previously learned would be offered for sale through some online retailers in the US is now also going to be available from Diamond, through Previews, for comic shops and other specialty retailers to have the opportunity to order as well. The Animation Colors Prowl looks like it's going to be a strong push towards increasing the market reach of Masterpiece toys in at least the US market - a good idea, with the demise of Toys R Us now at hand.
From our forums, we've got another video by chuckdawg1999, this time taking a look at the newly released MP-40 Targetmaster Hot Rod. The video serves as a good comparison between this Hot Rod and the original release, really highlighting the significance of the new deco. Plus of course we have a look at the Targetmaster figure itself, originally seen on the US release of Masterpiece Rodimus Prime. You can find the video embedded below; click through to watch now!
Though we don't think anyone could be blamed for confusing this with cab-robot Ultra Magnus, MP-711 Convoy, the Masterpiece Optimus Prime redecoed and sold exclusively by 7 Eleven in Japan is currently being shipped out. Via pcwr_Etchy
on Twitter, we have some in hand images of the newest member of the MP-10 redeco family. This release doesn't feature any new accessories or mold changes that we know of, but does have a new deco for just about everything, including the Matrix which now looks positively watermelon
. You can check out the gallery below to have a look at this figure and see the details of its new deco.
Thanks to Alfes2010, we've got a selection of nice photos of the just-released in Japan Targetmaster Hot Rod Masterpiece figure. The photos shared via Twitter show off MP-40 in a standard overview of the robot and vehicle modes, including weapons attachment options like the new Targetmaster connection on the hood of the car. We also have some side by side shots with the original MP-28 Hot Rod, which serves to demonstrate very effectively the deco changes between releases. We've mirrored a number of these photos, which you can find below!
