CANCELLED: Transformers 7 Officially Not Happening in 2019

Following the Variety of reports from Hollywood entailment new outlets. Paramount has officially cancelled what was to be the 7th movie, counting "Bumblebee: The movie", in the Transformers franchise. What's already pretty much well known to have been axed following the demise of the now in-famous "writers room". A "reset" was announced during Hasbro Investor Preview Day event last February. Ironically, the literal pun, "The Last Night", appears to be a real thing.

Paramount has pulled the seventh “Transformers” movie from its 2019 schedule.

The film was set for release on June 28, 2019. The studio will still open the spinoff “Bumblebee” on Dec. 21. Michael Bay directed the first five “Transformers” movies and Travis Knight helmed “Bumblebee.”

There is no need to ponder over this. In spite of what is seen as a downturn. The Transformers films have been a great run. What for better and worse, must come to pass. There are regrets, but the property has gotten as big a treatment as we could have dreamed of, and much much more. Arguably, the Transformers films set a standard for comic movie film making. Everything since "Transformers" (2007) have borrowed from the Bayformer films in some way - the Marvel and Star Wars movies included.

Most easy to overlook. Is the need for Paramount and Hasbro to recapture that success is very high. As one of Paramount's greatest successes, in their entire film history. It has established itself as their vehicle (no pun) for cutting-edge, real-action film-making. All things considered, we will surely see more new and exciting Transformers films based on our favorite Autobots and Decepticons. Who knows, someone may even get it right?
