IGN Filmforce has posted some "exclusive" information, which states that the human cast for the Transformers Live Action Movie is coming together. First, following a hint dropped by Don Murphy
earlier this week about a Cowboys at Midnight star will be joining the movie, Filmforce says that multiple sources are reporting that Jon Voight (Tomb Raider, Pearl Harbor) is currently in talks to be in the movie. The sources claim that Voight is in talks to play "Keller," which the previous
casting notice describes him as a "50's/60's male, US Secretary of State."
The next big name being thrown around as being close to be attached to the film is Michael Clarke Duncan (Daredevil, Sin City) as the character of Officer Jorge Figueroa "Fig", who is a "20's, Male, Dominican by way of the Louisiana Bayou. Chief Warrant officer in the Army. Spirited fellow who loves to sing. Close team member of Lennox."
Filmforce continues to reference previous casting rumors including
Josh Duhamel (Las Vegas), which sources claim that he has a lock on Captain William Lennicks, who is a "30s male, leader of the military."
The following are previously unheard of casting rumors that IGN Filmforce claims to have learned of:
While the character of Bobby Bolivia, a "[m]ale. 30's/40's. Any ethnicity. This guy could sell ice to an Eskimo. Tries to get Sam to buy a car. Your typical wheelin' dealin' used car salesman (1 scene)" has been heard of, the casting of Bernie Mac hasn't been. Mac is rumored to be a frontrunner for the role.
"Tyrese Gibson as 'Epps'; John Turturro as "Simmons"; Rachael Taylor as 'Maggie,' previously described as a super-hot and super-smart codebreaker for the government; Megan Fox as 'Mikaela,' referred to in a casting notice as Sam's love interest; Travis Van Winkle as 'Trent'; and John Robinson as 'Miles.'"
