''Transformers 2'' Treatment Real But Will Not Be Used

Last night we reported that a story treatment for "Transformers 2" dated October 2, 2007 had been leaked onto the web by DreamWorks SKG-owned website CountingDown.com. There were a lot of clues pointing that the story treatment is legitimate including some comments made by MichaelBay.com's webmaster "nelson." However, the webmaster suggests that even though the story treatment is real, it is a "far cry from the shooting script" and that it may not be used at all.

In a comment posted over at The Allspark, "nelson" spells it out: "Fake and real are relative my friend," the admin writes. "Fake as in it's a treatment that won't be used? Yes," he continues, "Real as in it was not a fan who wrote it? Yes."

While it is said that it will not be used, there may still be hope that the newly-hired screenwriters will incorporate some of the details from the leaked story treatment.
