So I don't the line will be a complete redeco fest, we will get a good deal of new figures.
I agree, probably a better choice of words in my previous post would have been "that allows them" instead of "specifically intended" - as the latter implies more that repaints are the primary the focus of the line, which I don't think is the case. At least for now... :07laugh
hmmm... everyone acts like Universe hasn't been a repackage series for the past 5 years.Yep, and there's obviously a reason that Hasbro decided to continue the "Universe" line and not the "Classics" line. They want a line specifically intended to sell old molds, that they've chosen to kick off the line with a few new molds (most of which are easily repainted into several characters) shouldn't be taken as an indication that the entire line is going to consist of new molds...
Well we are getting new moulds for Hound (Deluxe), Ravage, Cyclonus, Cheetor, and Hot Shot in addition to the new moulds we've seen. So I don't the line will be a complete redeco fest, we will get a good deal of new figures.
But I agree that anyone who's going to be disappointed by large numbers of repaints isn't looking at things realistically.
Not that repaints are necessarily a bad thing.

EDIT: Fix'd for clarity.
be nice to have a new unicron :07evil
This thread proves that all transformers fans are just a bunch of whiny batches.:)
Speak for yourself. All I did was make fun of this toy and point out what it really is.
It's a G1 homage, if you don't like it go play with your G1 Unicron....oh wait.
Yes, damn, DAMN Hasbro for finally giving us a figure of a character that never had a proper toy.
But it's not G1 Unicron, it's Armada Unicron and nothing's going to change that. You really need to shut up and let me have this one.
:07laugh nice :fail dude
I have one, I could just get some parts (I'm missing a planet ring and his missles) and refurbish the sucker.
:sbpfx
And, IMO, the Armada Unicron figure is as close to his G1 counterpart as Classics Prime or Megs, so it fits just fine as a representation of the G1 character, no matter what it says on the box.:pfx

:lol I'm gonna start using that.

You know, I just thought of a possibility... Henkei Unicron!
Movie accurate paint scheme, plus some wicked chrome trim... I'll take one please.
