au x Transformers Infobar Phone Figures Crowdfunding Special Editions In Hand Photos

Thanks to primalxconvoy, we've got an in-depth look at some of the Infobar phone Transformers from the au x Transformers project. These were the subject of a crowdfunding campaign in Japan, from which you would get a set of three figures decoed as Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee. A movie-inspired Optimus Prime is being released to direct retail. We have photos documenting the unboxing, as well as showing the individual figures, with size comparisons. Plus images of the instructions (in Japanese) and some details about the toys. Keep reading to see the whole works!

The report from primalxconvoy covers important information about the Bluetooth pairing and notification sharing function with your existing smartphone:

BTW, just to let you know, the light-up feature works with iPhone only. Android devices with OS 6+ need an app, which hasn't been released yet, apparently. Also, each figure comes with the alternate cardboard screen wallpapers, which can be swapped out, replacing the tiled Autobot logo.

And regarding construction:

Finally, be careful with the arms. My Megatron's lower arm came off, due to the glue coming away! That's surprising for a special edition (I ordered the set, which comes in slightly different packaging).
