Operation: Venus Terzo to attend TFNation 2017

Joining UK fans for the very first time, we are pleased to announce the incredibly talented Venus Terzo, Beast Wars Blackarachnia, will be attending TFNation 2017!

Blazing a trail for the multi-layered female characters who followed in her path, Blackarachnia’s long journey, from Beast Wars’ ruthless, self-serving, rebel Predacon to the Maximal-aligned Beast Machines force of nature, has seen the character achieve a special place in fan’s hearts. Her later dedication to Cybertron, and her relationship with Spark-mate Silverbolt, were elements decades ahead of MTMTE’s own examinations of loyalty and friendship, and are as relevant now as they have ever been.

Apart from her Transformers work, Venus’ acting versatility is reflected in the sheer quality and scale of her filmography. She is well-known for voicing My Little Pony’s Rainbow Dash across numerous features, the female version of Ranma ½, Jean Grey in X-Men: Evolution, the iconic Sorceress (and evil Critta) in The New Adventures of He-Man, and Gigagirl in Reboot. Then add in Biiko Daitokuji in Project A-Ko, G.I. Joe’s Jinx, Death Note’s Wedy, Princess Lana in Captain N: The Game Master and Talia Gladys in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny, and that’s just a selection of her animated work.

Venus’s on-screen appearances are even more numerous, including Arrow, Minority Report, Supernatural, Continuum, Sanctuary, Andromeda, and Stargate SG-1. Mainstream audiences will also know Venus from Blackstone, Badge of Honour, The Guard and her long-running role as Detective Angela Kosmo on Da Vinci’s Inquest , along with numerous other TV Movie and episodic work.

It’s worth noting, for fans of darker series, that Venus has also appeared in The Masters of Horror, The Dead Zone and The Twilight Zone and even appeared in the original TV series adaptation of Stephen King’s It.

Venus will be meeting fans, signing autographs and taking part in panels during our convention, which will run from Friday 11th and Sunday 13th August 2017.

Further transmissions to follow.

More Beast Wars News
Its not every day we get a new animation from the folks at Robot Chicken. They've made a handful of wonderful shorts featuring many of the beloved, Generation 1 characters. This time, we get the fan favorite, Beast Wars Megatron. Voiced by none other than David Kaye himself. The video also features Scorponok and a somewhat rare non-show Maximal character, Polar Claw.
Honestly, RAC should probably have saved this one for near the end, because this is one of the most important ones. Cincinnati' s Kenner Products got into the toy business alongside the Baby Boom, and ultimately wound up defining action figures and play for the Baby Boomers' children in the 1970s and `80s. But their contribution to Transformers would come later, as a division of Hasbro, in the late `90s. Keep reading for more!
Transformers Forged to Fight Releases the beast with the introduction of the Beast Wars Maximal leader, Optimus Primal joining the game play. The Maximal starship Axalon, commanded by Optimus Primal was pulled into a Transwarp Portal while in pursuit of a Predacon warship. Stranded on ancient Earth, Primal and his crew of Maximals fought the Beast Wars to preserve the timeline and protect all life in the galaxy. Read on for the full details.
The other day, Optimus Primal voice actor Garry Chalk gave his first-ever Christmas address - getting into a tradition that Beast Wars Megatron actor David Kaye has upheld for many years now. Today, Kaye responds with his own How The Grinch Stole Christmas song adaptation! But where Chalk went with the classic from the 1966 animated special, Kaye went to the live-action film for "Where Are You, Optimus?" Keep reading to see!
For many years now David Kaye, voice actor for Beast Wars Megatron, has released an in-character Christmas address or recitation on YouTube. Finally, after all these years, Optimus Primal voice actor Garry Chalk responds! Singing "You're A Mean One, Megatron," Chalk riffs on "Mr. Grinch" and reveals a side of his repertoire as a performer that there was little room for in Beast Wars: he's quite the singer.
