Botcon 2015 - Shuttle Information Updated With Additional Pay Services To Get From O'Hare To St Charles

This afternoon Botcon tweeted out a notification that more shuttle information had been added to The page now contains a paragraph explaining that while they continue trying to find a "cost effective" shuttle option between Pheasant Run and the major airports, they've put together a list of other car services that you can employ if their public transportation solution isn't viable for you. For more details, keep reading!

Several car and limousine services are suggested on the website, and while not all of them offer online trip quotes, for those that do the costs are relatively consistent between them for the ride between O'Hare and Pheasant Run in St Charles. Costs to go from Midway to the venue tend to be even higher. A1 Limousine Service seems to have the best individual traveler cost effect of the presented options, offering a $51 one way ride for a single passenger with "shared service" (where unrelated passenger may be picked up along the way). Private service for a group of up to three is $71, making it likely the second-best option for a pre-planned ride share. Universal Limousine has flat-rate service to numerous locations, including St Charles, and a Sedan that's said to seat three passengers comfortably for $66. Other options presented trend upward from there, some exceeding $100 for a group ride.

Please mind that we are not endorsing any of the listed services, and we recommend that you research reviews of all of them if you decide to take advantage of these options before you decide which company to make a reservation with. Please also keep in mind that all of these prices are for one way trips from the airport to the hotel, and what we're presenting here for reference are prices from O'Hare as the most common point of arrival in the city. Universal's Sedan is $83 from Midway, for one example.

With just over two weeks left before the convention begins, it seems less and less likely that a direct shuttle service for attendees will become available, and most everyone flying in for the show will have to try to utilize Chicago's public transportation, or make their own arrangements to get to the distant St Charles.

While we continue to look for a more cost effective shuttle option for travel from the Chicago area airports to the Pheasant Run Resort, this is what we have found so far: Option 1 is Public transit which connects to a local shuttle service, and is available at a very affordable price. That information is detailed below. The other option is a private car service. The following links are for local companies that offer car service based on rates that are per car, so sharing is definitely the way to go. This option is ideal for families, friends and anyone traveling in a group. However, if you are traveling alone, the price on a per person basis is higher. All of these services provide a safe, comfortable ride to and from the airports.
