On Twitter today Fun Publications revealed some info regarding this year's convention comic book. Transformers: Dawn of The Predacus is going to be set within the IDW Beast Wars continuity with The Ascending and The Gathering, and will be written by John-Paul Bove, and drawn by Corin Howell, who took the back half of Windblade, vol 2, and contributed to the Holiday Special one shot. Bove also tweeted some setting info, keep reading to find out the details!
According to the tweets earlier today, this story is intended to fit in to continuity with Beast Wars proper, as well as somehow being tied in to both Generation 1 and Generation 2 fiction. Beast Wars story editor Larry DiTillio originated concepts that would link Beast Wars to the Generation 2 comic book, some of which has been referenced in subsequent print material, though not the show itself. John-Paul Bove also noted that this story was set during the last 48 hours of the Great War.
For fans of both Beast Wars and G1, Dawn of Predacus is set during the last 48 hours of the Great War... #beastwars #transformers #g1

The story is completely in continuity (the wibbly wobbly G1, G2, BW continuity) and features some HUGE moments in TF history.
