From an anonymous source we have a collection of character art samples consistent with Combiner Wars packaging that's giving us a first look at some of what the line has in store for us this year. One surprise is new art of Classics Bumblebee, whose presence with Combiner Wars branding is confusing to say the least! We also see an additional Autobot combiner with a white Optimus recolor at its core, and what may hint at the 1984 Autobot Car team from earlier store listings. Keep reading for more!
The immediate conclusion for the white Optimus would be Ultra Magnus, but with the Leader figure having previously appeared in inventory data, it's not clear how this may relate to that toy. The potential of a Thunderclash redeco of Optimus using some of Motormaster's alternate parts also exists. Besides the blue and yellow limbs implying Mirage and Sunstreaker, we also see a redeco of Legends Blackjack ...as Rodimus. Long has there been a call for an updated Classics/Generations Rodimus, but I don't believe this is what most had in mind.
