Some of my favorite Optimus Prime collectibles are the many food premiums from around the world that can be some of the hardest to track down. Today we're taking a look at the 2005 McDonald's Happy Meal Transformers Energon Optimus Prime toy from the United Kingdom.
This freebie is exceptional by Happy Meal standards in that it not only transforms from truck to robot (center). It features an Energon Cube (right) with electronic lights and sounds that inserts into Prime's chest. The effects are controlled by a small Mini-Con Wreckage jet (left) remote. These can be hard to find with no USA release and only a handful of countries offering them.
