Daily Prime - G1 Optimus Prime Error Box, Metal Plates, Bloated, & Grey Parts Compared

Following yesterday's Daily Prime feature, our good friend Toys Are Russ has shared a video review showing off the super rare G1 Optimus Prime Error Box that was also part of the initial run of Metal Plates, Bloated and Grey Parts carried over from the Diaclone Battle Convoy molds.

What looks like a regular box has a number of differences such as the lack of white lines around the thumbnail images, radar folding over the bottom to the front, and the grid pattern bleeding over the grey border in some places. Interestingly enough, these were not one-to-one as some of the G1 boxes were corrected but still contained the Metal Plates, Etc. Watch the video below for the full details on this set with the comparison of the running changes on subsequent Optimus Prime releases.

No problem. I have all 3 error box variations of Optimus crossing over from diaclone. I’ve just put them up on my channel as I’m doing a similar thing. The others are light blue parts and light blue parts smooth bumper. Then I’ll move on to the other crazier variants like Mexican red eyes, red feet and Japanese super launcher.

Thanks! I have the Error Box too, but mine isn't nearly as nice as that one.
