Daily Prime - Generation 1 Optimus Prime Computer Speaker Head

LISTEN! Mint In Package (MIP) Monday is rocking out to the 2009 Transformers G1 TF01 Optimus Prime Computer Speaker. They scaled up the Autobot Leader's head to be big enough to embed speakers in his helmet, that for better or worse fold out from the sides. The USB-powered device takes a 1/8" input from another device that supplies the audio. Even stranger, they made a one-meter tall stand of Optimus Prime's body to hold the computer speaker head.

This is not the first time we've heard from Optimus Prime, as Takara released the Transformers Music Label Convoy in 2007 that transformed the trailer into a fancy iPod docking station with speakers in the generic white Apple non-color style complete with G1 Optimus Prime figure (bottom). This was followed in 2008 by a G1 colors version as well (top).
