In my run-up to Halloween, we are going back to the 00s to look at the ghosts (clear/transparent plastic) of one of my favorite Prime figures, Armada "Bendy" Optimus Prime. Takara released a special Micron Densetsu Super-Con Crystal Convoy and Mini-Con Spark Surge with TV Magazine in 2003. The figure was a homage to the Transformers Armada episode "Crisis", where Prime gives up his body to save the Earth leaving only his Matrix.
The mail-away exclusive set limited edition of 5,000 was cast entirely in clear colored plastics came in a, now traditional, mono-color printed reclusive box (right). Hasbro never released Crystal Convoy in America, but they did make the Transformers Armada Optimus Prime Happy Meal toy in clear red and blue plastic (right).
