Daily Prime - Legends Scale T.H.S-01 Hybrid Style Galaxy Convoy

Mint In Package (MIP) Monday goes galactic with a look at the 2005 T.H.S-01 Hybrid Style Galaxy Convoy figure in the box. This is not the first time Takara has devised a new line to launch figures from the past such as we have seen with the Robot Masters, MasterPiece, and more recently Premium Finish lines. The sort lived Hybrid Style series offered MP quality figures in a reduced scale with extra accessories. For reasons, unknown the series was discounted after just three releases, all of them being for Convoy (Optimus Prime).

The first and probably the best release of the trio is the T.H.S-01 Hybrid Style Galaxy Convoy. The 12 cm / 4.72-inch tall robot with 50 points of articulation replicates pretty much every aspect of the leader class figure even the planet keys. Partially made of die-cast parts, It comes with additional hands and other goodies packed in a handsome window box. Clearly, Takara was too early with this concept that would probably go over quite well today considering how popular Legends scale figures are now.
