Daily Prime - Super Link Wing Saber Was a Star

All the excitement over the Transformers HasLab Victory Saber reveal last week had me thinking more about all these curious characters that many have seen, but don't know what Star Saber has done, especially because the name and design have been used before in other Transformers series.

Mint In Package (MIP) Monday looks at the 2004 Takara Super Link (left) and Hasbro Energon (right) Wing Saber figures in the box. Takara took ideas from Predaking had Star Saber to create this new design. Wing Saber not only has the look, but it also plays a similar role as Victory Leo in forming a super mode Wing Convoy combination with Convoy / Optimus Prime. Additionally, though no relation to the Victory character, the Armada series included the Mini-Con Air Defense team that formed the Star Saber considered to be one of the most powerful of the Transformers' weapons.
