The Transformers Optimus Prime character was promoted as a role model to kids, and few things need more encouragement and reinforcement than brushing their teeth. When cleanliness is the right of all sentient beings, Optimus Prime is here to take on the evils of tooth decay.
Today we are taking a look at some of the many Transformers Optimus Prime Toothbrushes made over the years. The most collectible of which is the 1985 Generation 1 Autobot Optimus Prime Toothbrush made by Hasbro subsidiary, Aviva. This set was quite deluxe with a facsimile Optimus Prime figure (G1 figure left) that was a real battery operated toothbrush. Placing a brush in the left hand, and bending the arm up enabled the Autobot Leader to brush kid's teeth. In later years we saw other sets made such as the 2012 MZBerger Transformers Prime Great Smile set (left), 2007 Tiger Electronics Robots In Disguise Toothtunes Toothbrush that plays the Transformers theme song and Cullen voiced Prime clips (center), and the 2007 Cosrich Transformers Movie Toothbrush holder (right).
