This Autobot Leader with bloated & regular blasters, axe, matrix, and rubber tires, is smaller and has no chrome bling, or trailer as a deluxe class mainline figure. Shuhei Umeza san the talented wizard worked on this dude with me! What a vibe its been working with Shu san, such a solid guy!

Lemme break down the deets, please read in your Blurr voice! whose better then a deluxe articulated Prime that comes with his blue metallic tinted matrix of leadership, his toy styled black blaster, his animation styled ion blaster cannon, 5 mm ports in various strategic places, lightpiping yellow eyes, weapon storage on the back freightliner truck bed, the ability to hitch to multiple trailers , smokestack upgrades, cybertron radial pvc rubber tires, nobody nobody nobodyyyyyyyyy!!

When I was a kid I used to dream of things like this, I always wanted my Optimus to have permanently attached fists and I always wanted that dang blaster to fit in his hands smmoooothly, so many other things dreaming well wake up fans, he is here and you can preorder this beauty this Thursday at 1 pm et!

Both are a pass for me. It's too bad most folks in our community have such low bar expectations from Hasbro that we seem to keep lowering the standards. Anyone else concerned about the size of this United Optimus? It seems these deluxe figures are slowly down sizing to a legacy scale. I saw the TF One Optimus the other day at the store and was shocked that Hasbro has the audacity to charge $25 for such a tiny figure. From what I have seen thus far I'm guessing this United figure is just as small. With that, this one is a pass for me. You are better off saving your bucks and investing in the studio 86 figure....assuming you can find it.

Holdup... Is that a movable skirt piece? This thing might actually be a solid (affordable) alternative to Missing Link!

I would love to see similar takes on G1 figures like this. Essentially modernized G1 figures. It would have been figure of the year if they opted to add some chrome for the pipes, grill, and wheels. Imagine a G1 Sunstreaker remake? That would be amazing!!!!

Interesting although doesn't this defeat the purpose of Missing Link G1 Optimus? Also, given Hasbro's history of milking every mold, should we wait for a Studio 86 Leader Class release with the trailer?
